Keep the Change (SAVE MONEY!!!)

If you're not familiar with Bank of America's "Keep the Change" program, here's how it works:

Everytime you use your Bank of America debit card, they round up your purchase to the nearest dollar and deposit the difference into your savings account. So you're saving a bit of your money every time you use your debit card. The best part is, for the first three months that you are enrolled in Keep The Change, Bank of America matches your savings 100%. After that, they match your savings 5% per year, up to $250.

As of this Wednesday, we have been using Keep the Change for one year. I recently got an e-mail from Bank of America, stating that this year, we saved $407.83 just using the Keep the Change program. We also earned an accrued bonus of $89.88 - free money! PLUS, we have all the money transferred into an ING account - which gives us 6% interest (much higher than most savings accounts) - giving us an additional $29.86. That's over $500 for doing NOTHING!

I wanted to share that because so many people have excuses for not saving money. I know, because I was one of them.
